The Seymour Guest House is perfectly situated in the heart of Plymouth, Devon in the South West of England, UK.
We are right on Plymouth Hoe with views over Hoe Park and the Royal Citadel. To the rear of the Guest House we have spectacular views over Plymouth City Centre.

The City Centre, with its Theatres, Galleries, Colleges, University and shopping area is just a short walk away, as is the historic Barbican with its National Marine Aquarium, Mayflower Steps, Marina and Sea Front. Train, coach and continental and local ferry terminals are also within walking distance.

Plymouth is placed right on the Devon and Cornwall border and is surrounded by beautiful countryside and coast. Plus numerous places of interest to visit such as the Dartmoor National Park and the Eden Project are all within a short drive.

We have seven tastefully decorated guest rooms with new modern beds, good quality bed linen and mattresses. New carpets were fitted February 2015. They also have flat screen TV’s with CD/DVD players, equipped beverage trays, hairdryers and alarm clocks. There are five en-suite rooms (2 twin and 3 doubles) and two standard singles that have a washbasin but share a shower room that has two separate toilets. The en-suites and communal shower room have modern white, good quality sanitary ware and are also well equipped with mirrors, shelves, waste bins, soap dispensers etc.

The guest dining room can seat up to 15 people with solid wooden tables and comfortable upholstered chairs. The kitchen although compact has everything you need to operate the business and is very workable.

The owner’s quarters are ample and are a completely self-contained basement apartment with its own access at the rear of the property. They consist of a hallway, a nice sized lounge, office, kitchenette, one bedroom and a lovely large bathroom with Jacuzzi bath. There is a small rear garden with decked area and seating. Also two brick built out buildings, one is a storeroom and the other a well equipped laundry.

For a business in this price range we have really good trading figures and have over 5 years of accounts to show perspective purchasers. We trade all year (closed at Christmas) and have a mixture of commercial and tourist guests.

Although there are a number of accommodation providers in Plymouth it is not overloaded. Also the pleasant cul-de-sac situation, of the property is very popular with visitors. The Seymour along with the other four Guest Houses in the road, all work together in a friendly and co-operative manner in order to trade well.

This is a lovely Victorian home and an excellent opportunity not to be missed.
